Some (rumored to be) Nintendo Switch 2 PCB photos leaked. It looks like an nVidia 8 core ARM combined with 12GB GDDR5 RAM and a 256GB disk.
GTA3 on the Dreamcast: https://gitlab.com/skmp/dca3-game
It uses the game data which from the original (remastered) game which can be found here: https://store.steampowered.com/sub/817628/
I think Nintendo confirmed Switch 2 would be backwards compatible with Switch (1) games, but didn't specify explicitly if this is true for physical games. Digital games would be.First I'd like to know, if I get to bring my digital game "purchases" to the next Switch. Otherwise Nintendo can stick this thing whereever.
And then, how much more powerful it is. I very much do not care for Joy-Cons.
... or a display.
Not quite. I meant some 90 minutes on bicycle through flat streets. But those were city streets, so maybe not so light on my lungs
Wouldn't it be nice if switch 2 had a small screen and was pocketable? Tbh I'd much prefer a normal console, simpler, more elegant. I guess the main use case is portable home use, every family member has their own private screen..I think Nintendo confirmed Switch 2 would be backwards compatible with Switch (1) games, but didn't specify explicitly if this is true for physical games. How much more powerful, there are only rumors till now: nVidia T239 ARM Cortex A78c 8-core CPU and Ampere iGPU 1536 core with tensor cores for upscaling (DLSS 3), 12 streaming multiprocessors (CUDA), 12 ray tracing cores, full HDMI 2.1 support, File Decompression Engine support (which enables faster loading).
If those random specs I found only are correct (who knows, right) it would be between PS4 and PS5 performance. Just like with the Switch, the latest features can be exploited to punch above its weight.
It does come with a (LCD) screen by default, there aren't any rumors about a stand-alone console.
Who knows if something like this is somewhat already supported: "The patent reveals a system that allows players to scan a unique QR code generated by the Switch 2 with their smartphones or tablets. This will allow players to connect to the console and use their mobile device as an extra screen or controller for the game, adding a new level of versatility that would enhance local and online co-op gameplay."Wouldn't it be nice if switch 2 had a small screen and was pocketable? The industry seems to have so many potential avenues, local multiplayer, pure cloud anywhere games, VR. I honestly don't know where we'll be in 5 years. Hopefully it won't be too isolationist.Who knows if something like this is somewhat already supported: "The patent reveals a system that allows players to scan a unique QR code generated by the Switch 2 with their smartphones or tablets. Reticulum is not one network. It is a tool for building thousands of networks. Networks without kill-switches, surveillance, censorship and control. Networks that can freely interoperate, associate and disassociate with each other. Reticulum is Networks for Human Beings.
From a users perspective, Reticulum allows the creation of applications that respect and empower the autonomy and sovereignty of communities and individuals. Reticulum provides secure digital communication that cannot be subjected to outside control, manipulation or censorship.
Reticulum enables the construction of both small and potentially planetary-scale networks, without any need for hierarchical or beaureucratic structures to control or manage them, while ensuring individuals and communities full sovereignty over their own network segments.
Notable Characteristics
While Reticulum solves the same problem that any network stack does, namely to get data reliably from one point to another over a number of intermediaries, it does so in a way that is very different from other networking technologies.
Reticulum does not use source addresses. No packets transmitted include information about the address, place, machine or person they originated from.
There is no central control over the address space in Reticulum. Anyone can allocate as many addresses as they need, when they need them.
Reticulum ensures end-to-end connectivity. Newly generated addresses become globally reachable in a matter of seconds to a few minutes.
Addresses are self-sovereign and portable. Once an address has been created, it can be moved physically to another place in the network, and continue to be reachable.
All communication is secured with strong, modern encryption by default.
All encryption keys are ephemeral, and communication offers forward secrecy by default.
It is not possible to establish unencrypted links in Reticulum networks.
It is not possible to send unencrypted packets to any destinations in the network.
Destinations receiving unencrypted packets will drop them as invalid.

I started swimming regularly after covid. I feel lighter now, my muscles are more relaxed and I have more stamina. I can ski all day and **** all night. And I'm better at tetris.Meanwhile: I was today at an Swimming Center (?? ) , made 2 x 150 m while one was not Tracket Correctly as i had first to figure out how to use the Swimming Trainings on the Garmin Instinct2 Solar, but on the second 150 m i had 3 Minutes and 29 per 100 m ..
My last Running Training was 1,15 minutes per 100 m and 10 km Distanz , allthough i dont know how good the Tracking was as it was indoor ..
Was fun, i know now that i can still swimm after 20 Years, and that my Watch is really Waterproof ^^
LORA is why I'm interested in this. I've been running a Meshtastic node for half a year. As far as I can tell it's in a decent location being 400 m above sea level and surrounded by flatlands. While I disagree that the lower layers in the network need to be monolithic in nature by incorporating encryption, I like that it works over LORA. It did made me read it as the rectum network, which it obviously isn't.

Flashed a t-beam with Reticulum, but it seems my phone - galaxy note 3 running Lineage OS - can't connect to it.
