GP2X trying to update to fw4.0 from 2.0 stuck on patching screen

Hi everyone, I hope this forum is still used nowadays. I’m new to the gp2x world, I’ve bought a F100 model.
I was trying to flash a new firmware (ver 4.0) but it’s stuck on the “patching” screen. If I restart the console it shows the GPH logo then the firmware 4.0 logo and at the end the patching logo and doesn’t go further.

Any help is appreciated, thanks

I don't own a gp2x so I cannot try this myself...

Did you try the boot menu: power the gp2x while holding the power button & start & select. If that works you could rerun the firmware update.

Thanks for the fast reply, doing that prompted me to the firmware upgrade screen. After some time it rebooted to now patching. But still after 5 minutes nothing happens.

Can I flash back an older firmware version?

Ok It appears that it fixed itself. I rebooted it and now it’s working.
